Meet Karla Callaway

Karla joined Texas Harmony as our Director in August of 2018. She is passionate about
creating a fun and inspiring learning environment as well as providing individual instruction as
needed. She is committed to educating each member of our chorus to learn to be a better
singer. Her vocal knowledge has been influenced by Tom Blaylock with Northwest Vocal
Institute as well as countless hours of home-study and education provided by Sweet Adelines
International. She is a voice teacher and a coach for both chorus and quartets. She is also a
singer and performer and has had may top five finishes in both chorus and quartets.
She is a Certified Director and Harmony 500 Director, honors given by Sweet Adelines
International. She has served on the Regional Education Faculty as well coached many
choruses, quartets and offered Personal Vocal Instruction (PVI) to many women in our region.
In her personal life, she is an Account Executive at Test Equity Inc, she has 4 grown daughters
and three grandchildren. She loves spending time with her family, is a painter and enjoys
playing games and watching movies.
